What do you get when you combine the Royal Family, Instagram influencers and white privilege?  You get the one-of-a-kind, conceptually ingenious Fringe show that is… The Boy, George – duh!

Picture this. The year is 2028. Queen Elizabeth’s death marks the end of her seventy-six-year-reign. Parliament refuses to swear allegiance to the next monarch in line, Prince Charles. Britain and the entire Commonwealth are in political unrest, with a menacing storm brewing on the horizon.

That’s when fourteen-year-old Prince George, son of our beloved Kate and Wills, steps in (and attempt) to save the day. With a cunningly crafted plan up his velvet king’s cape, Prince George is hell-bent on restoring the monarchy once and for all - with himself at its centre as rightfully-crowned king, of course.

Patrick Livesey delivers a royally entertaining solo performance in his role of the privileged, queer and entitled teenage “king-to-be”, Prince George. Livesey’s plethora of talents also extends behind the scenes, having written and directed the entire performance himself too!

Sassy, pompous and royally riotous, tantrum-filled The Boy, George speaks to our inner entitled child that is screaming and stomping about demanding for a damn good Fringe show!

The Boy, George will be making Holden Street Theatres his royal palace from Wednesday 6 – Sunday 17 March, where he will be entertaining the peasants with a variety of matinee and evening performances for the rest of this Fringe season.
