Invited into the North Adelaide store, we were able to taste first-hand the mouth watering layered heaven that is Chuck Wagon's drool worthy menu launch!

I myself am an absolute chicken burger FANATIC. The more deep-friend and cheesy... the better! I tried the Chicken and Cheese Burger... a classic, and oh my god was it amazing. There is just something perfect about American cheese melted softly on a crunchy and hearty piece of chicken... and now I'm hungry all over again!

The new burgers include:

  • Whiskey Blue Cheese Burger
  • Two of Everything Please Burger
  • The Hangover Burger
  • Chicken and Cheese Burger

Thank you to Jasmin from Social Stir for inviting us along!

Bonjour!

Tucked into a very suited vintage storefront in Norwood, The Ruby Oracle is our little slice of chic vintage French heaven for Adelaide locals to frolic and explore during these hot Summer days... (And we've got Cannes beat for beaches!).

From chocolate, gifts & decor to the finest of french jewellery, visiting Ruby Oracle is like transporting yourself to a hole-in-the-wall gorgeous boutique parlour off an Parisian alleyway, with the owners making a pilgrimage back to their favourite country annually.

And speaking of vintage...  Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries! I was over the moon to discover that Ruby Oracle actually sells the brand, Au bout des Reves, which stain glass enamel earring's are prominently featured through the first two seasons of the vintage Australian murder mystery classic starring Essie Davis.

When you have a craving to experience how the other side (of the world) lives, or just want to test out your high school french... come and visit The Ruby Oracle for some Frenchy and Fabulous fun.

Au Revoir!

October 2017

Murder. Mystery. Thriller.

Probably three of my favourite words in the world when it comes to movies. I'm a sucker for murder mysteries and the more suspenseful, the better.

The Snowman is a 2017 Norway-based movie heralding performances from Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson and Val Kilmer. This euro-thriller had all of the pieces in place for a winner, a brooding detective with a troubled past, a wide-eyed up and comer looking to catch her break, and a serial killer murdering bad parents like they were Evil Santa from Futurama.

Have a read of what I thought of the movie below!

** SPOILERS AHEAD**

This movie fell flat for a few reasons, yet mainly it was the literal serial killer falling flat on his face and delving straight into the icy depths just before he could grab our protagonist was a copout not seen since Friday the 13th... and at least Jason popped back up invincible serial killer style!

Being a fairly knowledgable one in the sorts of serial killers, the lukewarm attempt at thriller horror didn't remotely compare to the real stories of our violent indecency that has actually occurred in below average temperatures... (Andrei Chikatilo ring any bells? IT SHOULD)

Next time you're seeking a good scare, skip The Snowman and snuggle up with something like Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Thank you to Kate from Universal Pictures for inviting me to see this movie!

June 2017

Small Fry Seafood has officially opened! The Japanese inspired tuck shop cuisine is its first to hit Adelaide, sporting made to order gourmet chips, seafood burgers and even an impressive as all anything NYC Lobster roll.

The Asian Subway station interior decor is inspired by the real hole in the wall eateries that litter Japan with amazing food around every corner, and this place lives up to the CBD hype for the best fish and chips.

The food menu on offer has been selected and made with care; every meal is a flavour experience!

Next time you're craving some quick food in the city, pop past Small Fry Seafood for an adventurous work lunch that'll definitely pay off.

My favourite item was the Karage Chicken Burger with Sake Marinated Fried Chicken, Sticky Soy, Slaw and Kewpie Mayonnaise.

Hours:
Mon to Sat 11am–9pm

A big thanks to Jack and Jayee for having me!

On a hot Summer Sunday, the glitterati of Adelaide congregated at up-market cocktail venue, 2KW, to celebrate the launch of Ellery Events.

The Adelaide Fashion activations and events company is known for South Australian events like the Labels Style Markets and The Rose Garden

With champagne, a fashion show and networking with the who's who of Adelaide fashion, the launch of Ellery Events was a soiree of sophistication and innovation.

We'd like to congratulate Katelyn Ellery on her growing South Australian Fashion business and thank her for being the powerhouse behind nurturing the fashion community in Adelaide.

For the Saturday of the Adelaide Fashion Festival, I channelled my inner floral goddess... with a twist. Whenever I hear florals in spring I think of that exact scene from The Devil Wears Prada when Miranda Priestly gives a very well-deserved eye-roll.

I fell absolutely in love with this fluro pink, floral jacquard dress with a totally unique cut on ASOS and had to get it. I paired this baby with some Fendi-esque kitten heels and I was good to go for the East End Social

And the best part of this outfit? The dress had pockets! So no bags for this beauty.

My Sunday Night Paolo Sebastian outfit coming soon

This Halloween, have I got the movie for you...

Seriously, I can't get HAPPY DEATH DAY out of my head!

What plays on the classic trope of a college party girl becomes an insight into the human condition, a psychological mind game and a modern whodunnit with a twist - why is Tree Gelbman being tormented by re-living her birthday?

With a feeling of a Halloween episode of Gossip Girl, Happy Death Day masterfully executes a slasher flick over and over and over again in the most humorous way possible.

With Tree slowly acquainting herself with the extraordinary in her daily repetition, things go from an unsure and scary GroundHog Day to a powerful who the fucks cares, nothing that I do really matters anyway.

I feel like a lot of the horror/thriller genre doesn't play enough with strong female-centric characters that actually have a backstory, passions

This Halloween, do yourself a favour and go and see Happy Death Day in a cinema near you.

Thanks to Universal Studios for the amazing cake!

Now, I'm a sucker for sweets, and this generous gift has in no way swayed my opinion of the film. But HOW AMAZING IS THIS! Good god the promotions department for Universal studios NEEDS A RAISE!!

A HUGE thank you to the team for orchestrating and sending me this absolutely breath-taking themed gift. THANK YOU!!!!
This Fashion Festival, I'm all about the drama of colour. For the VOGUE Festival Launch I paired a beautiful and unexpected blue/orange fishtail style dress with playful earrings and nude accessories!

"I collect Vogue, Shoes and compliments"

With the upcoming Adelaide Fashion Festival and exclusive VOGUE Weekend, fashion is on the mind. And when you're galavanting at these social fashion events one thing I've had to learn is graciously accepting compliments in a world where we're taught to negate sincere adorations.

But more important than Vogue or compliments are... shoes.

At last count I had 37 pairs of shoes and that was a solid 6 months ago (send help). And Spend-Less Shoes isn't doing anything to help me with my (very normal) personal selection of footwear.

Spend-Less Shoes have officially launched their Spring/Summer 17 collection in conjunction with Party With Lenzo and BeYoung PR. The new range of shoes incorporates styles for your next cocktail night near the beach, Spring Racing Carnivals and extra fashionable Friday nights.

The evening was hosted at Adelaide's newest devoted event space, Chateau Apollo, where Cassie Young invited the foremost Influencers for a fashion shoot challenge! Which blogger would take out the Spend-Less shoe style crown? The brands that contributed to the nights success include Modern Party, Aeon Collective, Little Big Balloon Co, Pickawall, Studio Botanic, Hello Kit Co, Red Hen Gin, Entourage Events and Food by Annabel.

With a boutique 'shoe bar', bloggers were able to try-on multiple styles available in the SS17 to style with pieces available from Couture+Love+Madness to show themselves and their audiences how versatile and modern Spend-Less's new collection is.

Of course my extra self had to frock on with my House of Zhivago sequin dress, paired with the rose gold 'Evie' heel ($49.99) set in NYC (on the bucket list) to pose for the shot below.... that won me tickets to the Paolo Sebastian AFF Runway! <3

The event was one of the most well-thought out and memorable experiences I've ever had the pleasure of attending. A big BIG thank you so Spend-Less Shoes for creating an amazing, affordable and fashionable range of shoes for every girl to wear and Cassie from BeYoung PR for orchestrating such an amazing Influencer event.

Walking into the gorgeous Old Regent cinema transported the Paige Rowe runway watchers to a Night of Fashion fit for the most lavish fashionistas. Set in the vintage Old Regent theatre, the space has since been renovated into a classic event space with ceilings to die for.

Paige Rowe glamorously presented her AW17 range to a crowd in adoration. The collection contains exclusive prints and floaty garbs in an array of stylish berry and blushes, all items which were made with a versatile size range in mind.

The night was hosted by GlamAdelaide's Kelly Noble whose sparkle was on par with the featured champagne bar.

I was fortunate enough to meet Paige the night prior to the runway show at the Adelaide Fashion Festival Official Program Launch event. With a smile plastered on her face and infectious excitement, Paige is not only a vibrant and delightful person, she's an incredible and passionate designer.
