Emma has spoken at Digital Adelaide, South Australia's largest Marketing conference, won both the state and Australasian 2023 Local Government Management Challenge, has sat on the State Council for the Public Relations Institute of South Australia, has been an accredited media reviewer for the Adelaide Fringe across 2017 to 2022, advised as a mentor to the Adelaide University's Fashion Collective club, addressed UniSA's Bachelor of Media and Communication students in her career journey, played a significant role in the 2019 South Australian Fashion Focus Weekend, and mentored over ten writers through The Iconic Blonde writing mentorship program.
Starting the journey in blogger land as inspired by the upcoming fashion scene in Adelaide in 2014 and for a love of writing, Emma launched The Iconic Blonde as a way to put pen to paper (fingers to keys) and navigate the big fun world of Public Relations, before landing her first role as an Account Manager at Rhetoric PR.
By day, a PR pro, by night, donning her favourite op-shop buys and style finds to support local businesses and brands at launch events, fashion shows, movie premieres, and charity functions, before running home under the cloak of darkness to cover the moments just passed and shine a bright light on the who's who getting the damn thing done.
Her inside knowledge of digital and influencer marketing saw her execute some of the first national influencer events across Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2017, while also spreading that knowledge at home by joining the State Council for the Public Relations Institute of Australia and hosting educational panels for industry.
Since the early days of influencing and PR, Emma has continued to carry the baton in blogging and career, spending time in Communications with Pernod Ricard, Marketing and Communications at UniSA and the City of Marion, Corporate Communications at a State Government Utility, and now Marketing and Communications at LG Professionals SA.
Along the way The Iconic Blonde has supported hundreds of local and small businesses, has racked up over 120,000 website views, she's visited hundreds of Adelaide hotspots (including trying nearly every Espresso Martini in the CBD), and has made long-lasting friendships and business networks along the way.
