Enzo's Ristorante is an iconic Adelaide venue. Having hosted the likes of Michael Buble and even (yes, this is completely true) Bon Jovi, Enzo's has a reputation of Italian excellence within our city's food community.

Which is why it was an absolute must to celebrate Enzo's official twentieth birthday - with a huge party!

Established in 1999, Enzo’s has occupied a prime spot in their Hindmarsh location since 2011 and are one of the first restaurants in Australia to be awarded the Ospitalita` Italiana accreditation by the Italian Government and the Italian Chamber of Commerce. These highly acclaimed awards were gained because of the commitment Enzo’s has to deliver an authentic Italian dining experience and bringing a little piece of Italy to our little city.

During the evening, guests were greeted by Enzo and Teresa themselves, into an open bar and traveling entree options (pizza and wine, always a good idea!) where the party itself was being broadcast by neighbouring tv station, Channel 7.

Building a business on a philosophy of great service and even better food, Enzo's Ristorante is one to put on your list of absolute 'have-to' dine at eating experiences.

Check Enzo's out on Facebook and Instagram.

The Iconic Blonde would like to thank Enzo's Ristorante, Enzo and Teresa Farazzi, and The Digital Marketing Tribe for inviting us along to this amazing celebration.

Like many basic white girls, I’m a sucker for a high school coming-of-age chick flick. Although some may think the genre has been overdone to absolute death, I still can’t get enough of the teenage angst, young unrequited love, and end-of-the-world drama. Some flicks are as cheesy as a Dominos Simply Cheese pizza. Others are unrealistically and hopelessly over-dramatic like an episode of Riverdale. And then there’s Booksmart, which does the unthinkable: combining cheesiness, drama, and uncanny wit to create a whole new genre of smart female buddy comedy.

Meet academic over-achievers and soul sisters since childhood, Amy and Molly. All their high school life, they’ve stuck to the status quo and chose to study over partying. On the cusp of their class of 2019 graduation, the studious pair realise that their rowdy classmates somehow studied AND partied, yet still miraculously managed to score killer jobs and get into top colleges. Determined to experience the best of both worlds before high school officially ends, the dynamic duo unintentionally overcompensates for what they’ve been missing out on for the past four years with a party-fuelled action-packed all-nighter that they’ll never forget.

Director Olivia Wilde Feature has kicked off her directorial debut with a bang, putting a smart spin on what could have easily been portrayed as a “dumb” comedy and redefining the coming-of-age genre. Combining poignant moments of friendship and soul-searching with drug and alcohol-fuelled escapades, Wilde has created a paradoxical picture that is both wildly outrageous yet oddly relatable.

A fresh face on the silver screen is Kaitlyn Dever, who delivers a raw, relatable and poignant performance as Amy: a shy and reserved bookworm who is whisked away to participate in Molly’s master plan. Being an openly out lesbian navigating her way through unreciprocated feelings and “gaydar” blunders, Dever’s character is one of several LGBTQ characters within the film – yay for gender and sexuality representation and diversity!

Charismatic up-and-comer Beanie Feldstein steals the show as the witty and sarcastic Senior School President Molly: an approval-seeker turned party-goer who is determined to prove to her classmates that she can be both smart AND cool. After witnessing her impeccable comedic timing and natural knack for inducing laughs, you won’t be surprised to discover that Feldstein is in fact comedy legend Jonah Hill’s younger sister – that family must have funny in their bones!

Featuring surprising cameos from Friends favourite Lisa Kudrow, Carrie Fisher’s very own daughter Billie Lourd, and comedy veteran Jason Sudeikis, Booksmart showcases a talented ensemble cast of fresh new faces that you’re sure to be seeing more of on the big screen!

Booksmart officially hits Australian cinemas on July 11, so be sure to round up the girl gang, plan your next movie night and snap up tickets to this feel-good flick!

Thank you to Universal Pictures Australia for inviting us to review the film

5 out of 5 stars!

Sammy's On The Marina is an iconic part of why Glenelg has become a one-stop destination for all things Adelaide food and wine.

The relaxed and elegant dining by the sea boasts breath-taking 270° view of both the beach and the Marina... and if you’re lucky you might even spot some dolphins!

This award-winning seafood restaurant offers quality seafood platters as their specialty. On a windy Friday night, a very select few of Adelaide's most prominent bloggers, influencers and media were invited to experience Sammy's in all of their gorgeous seafood and champagne glory.

Sammy's food selection isn't finished without tasty and healthy seafood cuisine; as a huge seafood snob, the prawns and oysters were seriously some of the best I've ever had! Hosted in the spectacular upstairs function room, the location is perfect to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the sun setting over the ocean. If you're looking for something a little bit different, they also make some killer canapes and entrees, like the Salmon Cucumber and the Trio of Dips (Pro Tip - when you go, definitely get the garlic bread).

Sammy's menu boasts of a wide variety of other preparations like Lobster Thermidor & Grilled King George Whiting (perhaps the only fish in the world that is named after a King) which is the most popular of all. Everything about Sammy's just screams "Anniversary Date Night" with its boujee wine list and luxury interiors.

If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers exceptional service, provides a diverse menu and gives you glamour, glamour, glamour, book in with Sammy's for your next 'why not?!' dinner on the Marina Pier.

For my first time at Sammy's, I thought the food selection was perfectly curated and the positive energy with the staff to be a real delight to dine with.

Thank you to JLL, Anna-Louise, and Alison for hosting The Iconic Blonde at this wonderful event!

A month-long espresso martini festival is hitting Florence Rooftop Bar this July!

Florence Rooftop Bar has teamed up with KahlĂşa for a month-long Espresso Martini Festival like no other.

Found upstairs above Kaffana, I've experience Florence Rooftop first-hand (many times), and I have to say, the atmosphere, the rooftop, the vibes, and the music are like no other! And when you enter from the Peel street entrance, it almost feels like you're sneaking into some cool secret club ;)

If you're a sucker for espresso martinis (me), make sure you check out this awesome month-long party with our party girl, Florence.

All month customers can build their own Espresso Martini for $15. It's simple:

1. Pick a Flavour

- Original
- Cinnamon
- Hazelnut
- Vanilla
- Caramel
- Chocolate

2. Pick a Garnish

- Toasted cinnamon
- Chocolate Shavings
- Shredded coconut
- Flamed cinnamon sugar
- Nutmeg
- Coffee

3. Enjoy!

To finish the festival, Florence celebrates with an Ugly Christmas Sweater Espresso Martini Party on the 27th of July. Ticket holders will enjoy a private party on the rooftop, with five espresso martinis to decorate to their heart’s content at the Garnishing Station, and delicious grazing boards from the Kaffana kitchen.
