Joni - Play (like) a man - Adelaide Fringe Review

Joni - Play (like) a man is part show, part live sport, on wheels. Susanna brings a sense of sporting togetherness I haven’t felt since school Sports Day, except this time there’s more blood, more teeth, and much better mime.

Through sheer commitment and a what I can only assume is a spiritually accurate representation of ice hockey, Joni educates and involves a room full of out-of-place Australians on the world’s slickest sport. There’s grit, absurdity, bribery, fighting, and the constant feeling that this really is the big game and we all need to pull it together to win.

There is a championship to win, so remember. No mercy.
