Calling all Adelaide musos! Are you an emerging musician, performer or industry member in the local music scene? Do you want to build up your contacts list and meet fellow like-minded creatives? Then EXCHANGE was just the event for you!
Brought to you by the talented minds behind Music SA and The Young Henrys, EXCHANGE was a Music SA Networking Workshop presented at the Chateau Apollo on Tuesday 26 March.
Music SA General Manager Lisa Bishop said that EXCHANGE is a new initiative that enables members of the local music industry to connect, network, collaborate and share with each other.
Originally established in 1997, Music SA is a not-for-profit organisation that works in conjunction with the Music Development Office and receives major funding from the South Australian Government through Arts SA.
Music SA provides a number of programs to promote, support and develop the South Australian music scene with the help of funding from the City of Adelaide Council, AHA (SA Branch) APRA AMCOS and the Live Music Events Fund.
Ms. Bishop said that with the support of major organisations, generous sponsors and philanthropists, Music SA is able to “provide [musicians] with free services, help professionalise music careers and assist in networking”.
The Chateau Apollo provided a welcoming atmosphere where local members of the South Australian music scene were provided invaluable networking opportunities over a sip of Young Henry's beer, Yalumba wine and a slice of pizza.
Local musos were introduced to the expansive team behind Music SA on stage, whilst several industry professionals ranging from radio presenters to festival programmers were also present on the night.
Thank you so much to Music SA and Young Henrys for inviting us and allowing local Radeladian musos to quite literally “exchange” business cards, inspiration and creativity all evening long.
