Days is the latest single released by Adelaide DJ, songwriter, and vocalist, Lemendt, dropping right in time to add it to your Summer playlist.
The 22-year-old artist wrote the track in ten minutes on a Winter’s day as she was chasing the summer vibes that are so evidently present in this electro-pop hit.
“People are so concerned with living a conventional life that they forget to take time to enjoy their youth. This track is written from my perspective, but, if you ask me, youth is based on mindset rather than an age. Do what makes you happy, not what society tells you to do.
Working with well-renown Adelaide based music production company, Milk and Honey, and IVY Entertainment, the team have been able to produce a song that they are confident will be admired by electronic fans.
The artist attributes her new song as a milestone, not only professionally, but personally.
“There was a time where I was feeling so alone, and the only place I had to turn to was music. Expressing myself through my song writing and music production is therapeutic and has got me through some of the darkest times in my life – I’m grateful for that.
Lemendt has made a name for herself in the Adelaide music scene as a resident DJ for Musque Food & Wine. She’s also been the headline act for Sidechain at Lotus Lounge and has mixed a live set for the Designer Showcase at the Creative Design Market at Plant 4 Bowden this September.
Her talents have not gone unnoticed, having recently been nominated for a 2018 SAM Music Award for Most Popular Electronic Artist which is presented by Fresh 92.7.
Since bursting into the Adelaide DJ scene earlier this year, Lemendt is known for her other original tracks How It Feels, Futures and Talk To Me.
The future is bright for this young artist who has plans for more singles to be released later in 2018.
